Things To Know About Manila

Manila is the capital of the Philippines, a center of business and education in the nation. It is home to our very first Victory Church, reaching the key campuses and universities in the University Belt. Today, Victory Metro Manila meets in 27 locations.

The Mall of Asia Complex, where our conference venue is, hosts the second largest mall in Southeast Asia.

Here are some things you need to know about this city.

Population

As of 2024, the Metro Manila population was 14 million. It has a rich mix of Filipinos from the provinces as well as international students, businesspeople, and tourists.

Temperature in March

Hot and humid! On average, the temperature of Metro Manila in March is between 27 and 33 ℃ (80 and 91 ℉). The weather can be humid, with scattered rainfall. When going outside, dress lightly.

Drinking Water

It is ideal to carry your own bottled or purified water. They are easily found in convenience stores and supermarkets.

Internet Connection

Most accommodations have Wi-Fi connection. Outside, you can use data roaming to access the internet, or buy a Philippine SIM card with data. E-sims are also available.

Tipping

Most restaurants include a service charge of between 8 percent and 12 percent on the bill. If there is no service charge, feel free to tip within that percentage or according to the service provided. Gratuity is always appreciated.

Traffic

Metro Manila streets are heavily congested, so please plan ahead so you can arrive early. Around the conference venue, there are areas nearby to rest and eat.

Belongings

Please keep all your valuables with you and remain mindful of your belongings at all times, including during the conference.

Airport Assistance

Whether it’s your first time in Manila or not, don’t worry—our Airport Assistance Team is here to help you the moment you arrive. Our volunteers are ready to assist you with your communication, accommodation, and transportation needs, as well as foreign exchange services and any other support you may require.

We’ve also set up signs (banners and tarpaulins) to guide you to the right areas as soon as you land. Upon arrival at the airport, look for the Go 2026 stations once you go past immigration.

Our team is available from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. (March 15–19, 2026). Should you arrive outside these hours, rest assured that you will be provided with clear instructions and guidance on what to do upon arrival.

For those arriving on the day of the conference, we recommend you to stop by your hotel first to request temporary storage of your luggage and other personal belongings before heading to the conference venue.

In compliance with SM MOA Arena’s venue policies, we highly encourage you to bring small bags only as you attend the conference. Bags brought inside the arena should not be bigger than 12×12 inches. Please note that there will be no storage facilities available for larger bags/luggage at either of our venues, SM MOA Arena and SMX Convention Center.

Our Hotel Assistance Team is joyfully ready to assist you with any inquiries at any of our partner hotels: Conrad, Citadines Bay City Manila, Lanson Place Mall of Asia, Tryp by Wyndham, Microtel, and Hotel101. Simply look for the Go 2026 Helpdesk.

  • Please keep your belongings secure at all times. Avoid leaving valuables unattended or inside vehicles, and remember to check the trunk before exiting to ensure all your bags are with you.
  • Metro Manila experiences heavy traffic, especially during rush hours, so we encourage bringing extra patience— and allowing more travel time between locations.
  • Use official transport options (Grab, accredited taxis, or hotel-arranged vehicles) whenever possible.
  • Keep small bills handy for taxis or tips, as drivers may not always have change.
  • Be mindful of your phone and wallet in crowded areas, especially in public transport and busy streets.
  • Stay hydrated and dress comfortably—the weather is hot and humid.
  • Save important addresses and locations (e.g. hotel, venue, Go 2026 hotline numbers) on your phone or written notes in case of limited signal or battery.
  • If unsure, don’t hesitate to call our team on WhatsApp through our Go 2026 hotline numbers: +639089114033, +639089055127, +639089315282.
